Various activities within the scope of the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023 (04/03/2023, 08:44)

Within the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023 (taking place from March 10 to March 14, 2023), besides 18 main activities of Dak Lak province, localities, units and mass will organize many activities in response to the festival.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Lak District will organize a ceremony to worship the water wharf, a ceremony to offer health to elephants, the Gong culture festival, the traditional canoe boat race and a traditional camp during the 2 days 11-12 March. The People's Committee of Krong Pak District will organize the performance of the lion and dragon dance for the Central Highlands region; visits to the CADA Plantation Historical and Cultural Relic, where visitors can enjoy the Central Highlands cuisine at community tourist sites and experience the process of caring, processing and preparing specialty coffee during 10-13 March.

The districts, towns and cities in the province also organize cultural and sports events such as: Ea Kar Ethnic Culture Festival 2023 associated with the Racing Festival Boat; Cultural Gong Festival and performances of ethnic musical instruments in Krong Bong District; village community event in M'Drak District; Volleyball tournament of Ea Sup District; Tree planting ceremony in Buon Ho town, etc.

The People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City also will organize many activities in response to the festival such as: Cultural and Sports Festival of Ethnic minorities 2023; Pilot implementation of Pedestrian Street and public bicycle; the experience of free coffee on Phan Dinh Giot street.

Dak Lak Literature and Art Association will organize an event with artists; Celebrating 70 years of Vietnam Photography Day and a photo contest about Buon Ma Thuot City; Prize giving and art exhibition in response to the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023.

A health ceremony for elephants

Responding to the festival, departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize many activities such as: Exhibition of elephant specimens, Thematic display of "Traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Dak Lak", Trail Running Competition, Street Art Music Program, Book Exhibition to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot Victory and the Liberation of Dak Lak Province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2023).

The fact that localities and units register many activities, participate in an enthusiastic response to cultural and sports events before, during and after the Festival, will create many conditions to attract tourists and visitors.

The 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival has many new programs and activities and has received a positive response from agencies, departments, sectors, mass organizations, localities and businesses. Along with that, information about the festival is widely disseminated on mass media and vividly visual in order to help people in remote areas, border areas, ethnic minority areas access, and participate in the festival. The Organizing Committee expects that the festival will create a stronger development for the agricultural industry, coffee industry as well as contribute to introduce and promote the image, potential and strengths of Dak Lak to investors, domestic and foreign tourists.
