On February 10, in Ha Noi, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee held a press conference to introduce to the central mass media the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, with the theme “Buon Ma Thuot – destination for coffee world”. Some 200 reporters from the central mass media took part in this important event.

At the press conference, representatives from the mass media put a number of questions to get informed of the program concerning the festival, such as tourist tours, situation of coffee production and business, solutions relating to policies and mechanisms with a view to increasing the economic efficiency for coffee growers as well as to contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province, funding activities, support to the mass media in the relevant events, socialization, promoting investments to the coffee sector, new cultural and tourist activities included in the Festival.

Officials concerned responded to the questions raised by the mass media, and at the same time expressed the hope that the mass media would continue to play its role to support the province in the communication work regarding the Festival, to promote Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand in order to affirm the position of Dak Lak coffee in particular and Vietnamese coffee in general in the world coffee market as envisioned in the goals of the Festival.

The 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, with the theme “Buon Ma Thuot – destination for coffee world” will take place from 10 March 2023 to 14 March 2023 in Buon Ma Thuot City and several other localities in the province.

The forthcoming Festival will include 18 major activities in a rich, unique and diversified forms. In addition to the opening, closing ceremonies and street festival…, there will be new activities, for instance the video clip contest about Buon Ma Thuot coffee, under the theme “Stories about Buon Ma Thuot coffee”, performance of the musical play “the Desire of Dam San”, lights festival, exhibition of art photos, competition on making arts products from coffee trunks…

The 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival organized in 2023 is to promote the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand, to develop Vietnamese special coffee products, gradually turning Buon Ma Thuot into a destination of the coffee world and help enhance the value and to affirm the position of Vietnamese coffee in the world market.

According to leading officials of Dak Lak Province, after 4-year interruption by the pandemic, the 2023 Coffee Festival will be held at the largest scale ever so far, thus producing a strong attraction, thanks to the way the festival is held in line with the trend of international integration. The modern style in organizing the festival emphasizes the theme “Buon Ma Thuot – destination of world coffee”.

In addition to that, the communication work relating to the Coffee Festival has been attached great importance in the mass media, prominently appearing on the prestigious web pages and the social network with large interaction and participation of influential people.

In this connection, the organizing Committee has invited Miss H’Hen Nie to be the Media Ambassador for the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 and it also called upon each and every local person and business to work as media ambassadors to the event, in order to present the beautiful cultural features, reflecting the Central Highlands identity of the province of Dak Lak among the visitors from home and abroad.
