The Light Festival made its debut during the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, under the theme “The Coffee World - Illuminating Ban Me.” This inaugural event drew significant attention from both locals and tourists, marking a key feature of the festival and demonstrating the region’s creativity and commitment to promoting its culture and tourism.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the Light Festival at the 2025 Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival promises to offer a dazzling and enchanting atmosphere, merging light with artistic installations. According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s festival will be meticulously crafted, featuring top artists from both Vietnam and abroad who will present unique and captivating works. Notably, for the first time, attendees will be treated to a spectacular light show featuring 500 drones. Themed “The Coffee World - Illuminating Ban Me,” the event will transform the March 10 Square into a breathtaking display of lights, reflecting the beauty and spirit of the coffee region.

This is the first time the province has organized a drone show, and the organizing committee is prioritizing safety measures for the event. The selected performance team is highly experienced and reputable in Vietnam and has received approval from the provincial People’s Committee for the drone operations.

As part of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Light Festival will take place at 8:00 PM on March 12, 2025, at the March 10 Square in Buon Ma Thuot City.
