Young People Eagerly Anticipate the Light Festival at the 2025 Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival (08/03/2025, 22:51)

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, scheduled from March 9 to 13, 2025, is set to celebrate the coffee bean—a source of pride for the Central Highlands region—while also showcasing a dynamic array of cultural and artistic activities. Among these, the Light Festival has particularly captured the imagination of the youth, emerging as a highlight that cannot be missed in this year’s lineup.

The Light Festival made its debut during the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, under the theme “The Coffee World - Illuminating Ban Me.” This inaugural event drew significant attention from both locals and tourists, marking a key feature of the festival and demonstrating the region’s creativity and commitment to promoting its culture and tourism.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the Light Festival at the 2025 Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival promises to offer a dazzling and enchanting atmosphere, merging light with artistic installations. According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s festival will be meticulously crafted, featuring top artists from both Vietnam and abroad who will present unique and captivating works. Notably, for the first time, attendees will be treated to a spectacular light show featuring 500 drones. Themed “The Coffee World - Illuminating Ban Me,” the event will transform the March 10 Square into a breathtaking display of lights, reflecting the beauty and spirit of the coffee region.

Since the announcement from the Organizing Committee, articles about the 2025 Light Festival have sparked considerable excitement among young people. On social media platforms, posts introducing the event have been shared widely, generating high levels of engagement. Many comments express enthusiasm for the drone light show and the participation of popular artists, including Miss H’Hen Nie and music stars like Bui Cong Nam, Amee, and Quang Hung MasterD.

Quynh Huong, a young resident of Tan Thanh Ward in Buon Ma Thuot City, shared her excitement about the upcoming festival activities, particularly the Light Festival and the presence of beloved artists. “Even though my schedule is packed with school and work, I will do my best to carve out time to experience the festival,” Quynh Huong remarked.

Mr. Lai Duc Dai, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, confirmed that the Light Festival at the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will feature an impressive lineup of 500 drones. This is the first time the province has organized a drone show, and the organizing committee is prioritizing safety measures for the event. The selected performance team is highly experienced and reputable in Vietnam and has received approval from the provincial People’s Committee for the drone operations.

As part of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Light Festival will take place at 8:00 PM on March 12, 2025, at the March 10 Square in Buon Ma Thuot City.
