On 14 February, the Steering Committee of the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023 held a meeting to evaluate the implementation progress of the Festival's activities.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023; Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi,   Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee; Mr. Pham Minh Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Mr. Y Bier Nie,  Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Mrs. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Organizing Committee and other members of the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee.

According to the Organizing Committee, preparations for 18 main items and activities of the festival have been urgently and actively implemented.

The Opening Ceremony will take place at 8 pm on 10 March 2023. It will be broadcast live by Vietnam Television on VTV1 and VTV5 channels. The art performance at the Opening Ceremony includes 3 acts: The quintessence of the great wilds - spreading to five continents; Coffee culture - crystallization of integration, and Buon Ma Thuot - the destination of world’s coffee. The Organizing Committee has directed relevant units to prepare necessary conditions for the preliminary and rehearsal.

The Coffee Expo is expected to attract about 400 standard booths with the participation of 150 enterprises, including 10 foreign and foreign-related coffee enterprises. To date, the time slots are already fully.

Regarding the International Business Matching Conference, 48 delegates from 25 organizations have registered for the event, including 6 purchasing units, 2 foreign enterprises (Germany and China), 2 certification organizations and a Korean joint venture.

The Closing Ceremony will be broadcast on channels VTV5 and VTV8 under the theme: "Buon Ma Thuot, the coffee city - Where creativity originates". The Ceremony will include 2 acts: "Buon Ma Thuot - Pride of the coffee city" ” and “Coffee City - Where creativity originates”. The Organizing Committee has also directed relevant units to prepare necessary conditions for the preliminary and rehearsal.

Besides, numerous other events will also be organized. These include a Conference on Coffee Development, a Photo Exhibition under the theme "Vietnamese Coffee Culture - the Journey to Create World Cultural Heritage" and a  thematic exhibition on the History of Coffee in the World, a Fauna and Flora Contest, Street Festivals, a Farmer Competition, Viet Nam Amazing Brewing Master, a Light Festival.... All preparations are on schedule.

Activities of the Subcommittees on Communication, Finance and Fundraising have also yielded positive results. Additionally, the Organizing Committee has approved the plans and solutions to ensure security, order, and fire safety for the festival .

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 8^th  Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2023 emphasized the significance of this event to the province. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has requested to organize this event in a more professional manner compared to previous ones.  The Steering Committee applauds the preparations, which meet the requirements and objectives set by the Organizing Committee and relevant departments, agencies and localities.

In the coming time, the Organizing Committee will review and complete the agenda items and actively make the best preparations to minimize errors.
