Promoting, kicking off the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival planned to be held in March 2923, Dak Lak Province has launched a video clip contest with the theme “Stories about Buon Ma Thuot Coffee”.

Under the theme of “Stories about Buon Me Thuot Coffee”, video clips submitted to the contest introducing Buon Me Thuot coffee will have no limits in terms of space and time but the durations do not exceed 5 minutes. The contest will start from now and last until the end of the coming December, with the total prizes valued at more than VND 600 million. Video clips sent to the contest will be used to serve the communication and promotion work, presenting the Buon Me Thuot coffee, the land and the people of Dak Lak and the Buon Me Thuot Coffee Festival.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19, after 4 years, the Coffee Festival is to be held again.

“The destination for world coffee” will be held in Buon Ma Thuot City and several other localities in the province, from 10 March to 14 March 2023. The Festival will include activities, such as coffee-focused fair, seminar on special coffee products, conference on connecting international trade, exhibition on art photos, festival on “Neu” demonstration, the 2nd exchanges of culture, sports and tourism among Vietnamese nationalities, exhibition and contest of ornamental creatures of Dak Lak, performance of an opera play on Dam San’s desire, other cultural activities and tourist experiences in other well-known sites in Dak Lak Province.

Mr. Dang Gia Duan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture – Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak informed that after an interruption due to the Covid-19, the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will be on a larger scale and with more prominent features than the previous festivals. He added further: “The 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 is expected to be larger with more special features and more productive than the festivals in the past. Naturally, the coming one will inherit the good aspects of the previous festivals and it will have new and particular points, thus could attract more tourists. The forthcoming festival will be built upon the experiences of the past festivals and it promises to be the one centered on people and tourism. The festival will be 100% socialized.
