           Dak Lak, which is known as the "Capital of Vietnamese Coffee" with the country’s largest coffee-growing area and output, has more than 204,000 hectares and an annual coffee bean output of 450,000 tonnes, accounting for about 37% of Vietnam’s coffee bean output. Dak Lak has exported its coffee to hundreds of countries and territories throughout the world. Coffee sector always plays an important role in the provincial socio-economic development.

          Through 6 festivals with various topics, Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival has really become a festival to honor Vietnamese coffee, contributing positively to the general development of Vietnamese coffee sector in general and “Buon Ma Thuot Coffee” brand in particular. The 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2017 is considered the largest scale compared to the previous festivals, attracting nearly 25,000 domestic and international visitors including Embassies, Consulate Generals, prestigious international coffee organizations and international press agencies. With a series of important, attractive cultural and trading activities, the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival not only promotes and improves the value of Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand in particular and Vietnamese coffee in general, but also contributes to the local brand, building a new image of Dak Lak with a strong desire to rise up.

Inherit and promote the achievements through 6 previous festivals; strengthen the promotion of Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand; receive agreement of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province has made a decision to hold the 7th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2019 under the theme of "The Quintessence of Jungle".

The Festival aims to promote Buon Ma Thuot Coffee brand, develop Vietnamese specialty coffee; step by step to make Buon Ma Thuot become the destination of world coffee, contribute to raising the value and affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena. In addition, the Festival is also an opportunity to honor coffee growers, coffee processors and traders, to encourage the community to join hands to develop coffee culture in Dak Lak province in particular, Vietnam in general. With a wide variety of activities, the festival will make a contribution to promoting investment, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to Dak Lak.
