          With the consent of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the 7^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, 2019 will be taken place from March 9^th–16^th, 2019 in Dak Lak province with the theme “The Quintessence of Jungle”.

          The Festival mainly aims to further promote Buon Ma Thuot Coffee brand, develop Vietnamese specialty coffee, contribute to raising the value of and affirming Vietnamese coffee’s position in the international arena. Additionally, the Festival will honor coffee growers, processors and traders while encouraging the community to join hands to create and develop coffee culture, particularly in Dak Lak and also in Vietnam in general.  Also on this occasion, the Festival’s Organization Committee announced Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie as the Social Media Ambassador of Festival.

          Speaking at the press conference on behalf of the Festival’s Organization Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Standing Deputy Head of  the Festival’s Organization Committee said that the 7^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, 2019 will focus on developing Vietnamese specialty coffee; step by step bringing Buon Ma Thuot to become the destination of world coffee.

          At the same time, the Festival will be an opportunity to introduce Dak Lak’s images, advantages and potentials to visitors as well as call investment in trade and tourism in the province. Additionally, the Festival has historical meaning to practically celebrate the 44^th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot Victory –Dak Lak’ liberation (March 10^th 1975-2019), paved the way for the Spring 1975 General Uprising to liberate southern Vietnam for national unification.

          This festival also has new activities compared to previous Festivals such as: the 1^st Vietnam’s Specialty Coffee Competition; opening “Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Book Street”; the World Coffee Exhibition at the World Coffee Museum (the largest coffee museum in the world). Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie – the proud of Dak Lak’s people with the role of the Festival’s Social Media Ambassador will be expected to give visitors and local people the deep feelings of the quintessence of Buon Ma Thuot coffee, the local cultural identity, sentiment and hospitality of the Central Highlands people; at the same time desiring to connect Buon Ma Thuot with the world as the destination of coffee lovers in the world (attached the Festival’s program).
